Poet Laureate Project
Overview
Over the next two years, Katie aims to:
- Facilitate adapted poetry workshops for disabled residents of Prince William County
- Collaborate with Local Government Organizations, Schools, Libraries, Civic and Religious Organizations, and Private and Public Therapy Organizations who are working to support county residents with disabilities
- Create a digital anthology of the works of workshop participants introduced by a brief history and process analysis written by Katie to give insight on how this could be replicated in other communities
- Create a reading series to allow the PWC community to hear the works created at these workshops
